The City of Dunkirk Police Department is accepting applications for Full Time Police Officer. Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age, possess a High School Diploma, or equivalent, a Valid Driver's License, able to legally carry a firearm, not have any Misdemeanor or Felony Convictions and be able to pass all requirements including Physical Agility Testing, Physical and Mental Testing and Indiana Law Enforcement Academy requirements.
2020 rate of pay is $34,029.00 a year with overtime possible. 1977 Police and Fire Pension; Insurance Benefit is $1.00 per year for Employee only coverage to include Medical, Prescription, Dental and Vision. $20,000.00 Life Insurance Policy and Short Tem Disability Insurance. $1,000.00 per year clothing allowance. 48 hours personal time per year. 112 hours vacation at one year employment, 152 hours vacation at two years employment, 192 hours vacation at ten years employment and 232 hours vacation at 20 years employment.
